What are the accommodation rates and how do I book a room?
Conference headquarters and check-in are at the Logan Hotel in downtown Philadelphia.  Attendees must book their own rooms at the Logan using this link to secure the special rate of $199 per room per night. This special rate is contingent on availability. Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available in all guest and conference rooms throughout the conference.

but room reservations can be still be made at the Logan at the regular rate. The conference rate is being honored at the 
Embassy Suites by Hilton Philadelphia Center City, across the street from the Logan.  Reservations here.

If I want to share a room to save on costs, but don’t plan on traveling with a colleague, can you pair me with a roommate?
WCGN cannot coordinate this, but we encourage you to post your request to the WCGN Member-to-Member Discussion Forum to find a roommate.

Is transportation to/from the Logan Hotel provided? 
No.  Special transportation arrangements are not necessary since the Logan Hotel is only 9 miles from Philadelphia International Airport and 1 mile from Amtrak’s 30th Street Station.  Uber, Lyft and cabs are readily available to take you to the Logan Hotel. If you are driving to Philadelphia, we have arranged for discounted valet parking at the hotel.  

Will I need a rental car?
No. All activities are either within walking distance of the hotel or public transportation is accessible.

What is the conference registration cancellation policy? 
We will accommodate refund requests, less a $50 cancellation fee, if notice is received by August 20, 2018. Otherwise, payment is fully forfeited. All conference registration cancellation requests must be sent to treasurer@wcgn-network.org.  We are unable to accept transfers, but if you need to cancel your registration, you may do so without penalty until August 20 to receive a refund, less cancellation fee.  

Regarding your hotel accommodations, please refer to your hotel correspondence for the hotel cancellation policy. WCGN and Impact100 Philadelphia are not responsible for notifying the hotel of changes or cancellation of your reservation.

When do events begin and end?
Check-in begins at 1 pm on Sunday, October 21. The welcome reception is at 6 pm followed by dinner at 7 pm.   The conference concludes at noon on Tuesday, October 23. We encourage you to come before or stay after the conference to continue the conversations, enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant and visit the sights of Philadelphia with your new WCGN colleagues!

Can I pay my registration fee by check?
No, all registrations are paid via credit card online prior to the Conference.

How should I pack? What is the dress code?
All events are business casual. The weather in Philadelphia in late October can range from the high 70s to low 60s in the daytime and the high 50s to low 40s in the evening. Make sure you check the weather before you arrive.

Is my family welcome?
Yes, we welcome you to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes that Philadelphia has to offer. If you are interested in extending your reservation before or after the conference dates, please call the hotel directly (Meredith Hamblin at 215-963-2719) to inquire about pricing and availability for additional nights. The group rate will be honored based on availability.  Note: conference events are for members only.  A list of activities for you and your family will be made available in time for your travel planning . Any costs and arrangements associated with these events are completely separate from the conference registration. 

Can I register for a portion of the conference?  
A la carte registration will be offered after Member Early Bird registration closes, provided space is available.

Who is considered a member and eligible for member rates?
Member rates are available to any individual who is a member of a WCGN Member Organization. Upon registration you will be asked to identify your affiliation. A list of eligible WCGN Member Organizations is located on the WCGN website.

What if my organization joins after I have registered as a non-member?  
If your organization is considering joining before the conference, terrific!  You may join here.  We recommend that you register after your organization joins WCGN in order to receive the member conference rates. WCGN will not refund non-member rates if your organization joins after you have registered pursuant to the cancellation policy outlined above. 

Can I hold general registration spots at the member rate and fill in the names of attendees later? 
No, registrations must include the attendees’ names.

Can I request special meals?
The hotel will provide a variety of meal options to choose from including vegetarian.  If you have allergies, please add them to the comments field in the registration form.

When will the program be available? What can I expect in terms of speakers and breakout sessions?
In addition to new programming, we will continue to offer multiple sessions on membership, grantmaking, communications, and operations/governance, as well as the ever-popular affinity groups. View the conference program.
