Feb. 13 Grants Creating Ripples: Impacts on Our Grantees, Our Communities, and Ourselves
Research tells us that measuring results is important, and the experience of organizations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation validates that lesson. But collective giving organizations give a variety of grants over the long term, creating something like an artist's portfolio. Are there ripple effects, impacts that go beyond a particular grant? In this webinar, experienced grantmakers think about how their grants have impacted the grantee, the community, and the collective giving organization itself.
Mar. 13 Endowments: How to Get Started, and How to Use Them
Many WCGN member organizations consider establishing an endowment, or have recently done so. This webinar puts together the best insights on founding and funding an endowment, and how organizations might use endowment earnings.
Apr. 10 Motivating Volunteers: Getting their Best Without Burning Them Out
Women’s collective giving organizations often share the same problem as their grantees: how to keep going without exhausting their volunteers and leadership. Experienced “volunteer-wranglers” reflect on some ways to keep the organization vital and the leadership pool rich and energetic.
